Cancer, Ya Dancer! is a new collection of poems from the mind behind ‘Schemotherapy’. Willy Maley’s poems are a celebration of life, often playful, poignant, linguistically subversive and always moving. Maley’s first person account chronicles the despairing, sometimes humorous and often surreal experience of living with a terminal illness with his trademark turn of phrase. Again and again, Cancer Ya Dancer! returns to a baseline celebration of the life that there is left to live.

I’m hoping it will provide some comfort for others touched by cancer, and some insight into an experience seldom associated with dancing, or poetry for that matter. – Willy Maley
